Another Diss of God

I was young, had no fear of the road......this song was written sitting/standing/pacing/ alone, and wondering why no one in Shenandoah Iowa, would stop and give a long haired red headed hippie a ride somewhere. Some of my hippie hitchhiking was done alone, most of it was with other longhairs. I imagine many of my hitch-hiking cohorts from those days, are now Federal Judges, Lawyers working for the ACLU, Greenpeace or Amnesty Int'l.

Whew, I got out when the getting out was good.

What does a punk kid know about the blues?

What does a punk kid know about the blues? A young punk with girls galore, he just wanted more and more. Now that is not the blues.....want to talk about blues? Don't get me started.

I still wish, but

I still wish, but my wishes of today are tempered with age. This song has a sort of screaming quietly sound.....someone angry because.....she didn't give a squat about me, and I thought I was King Tut....or at least the best harmonica player and lead singer in any band in California. I can now enjoy Fleetwood Mac and know for a fact, they were doing it better than our band. And that lead singer of theirs...whoopie doopie.

Still a favorite of mine

Still not old enough to vote, and still mad at God. 1966

Joyce

The chorus of this song is line 8 thru 13. The chorus was sung, between every verse.

It was well received.....? But, what did I know about the blues in 1969? Thought I knew something about them....my how time teaches.

No poet of any merit in the 1960's would dare use capitol letters or correct puncuation, DAH.
